~Technical Information~
The USS Attrin Star was commissioned in early 2385, and launched in late 2386. Among its many structural changes its ability to enter multi-vectored assault was phased out. It still has the ability to detach the main command center (bridge) and the star drive section (engineering). Each with warp factors higher then 8.5. The ability for the star drive sections was phased out by Starfleet who believed that 3 warp cores was unnecessary for a starship. It has a total of 4 Computer cores, a main starship computer that took over the main functions of the ship. The 3 Computer Cores originally used in multi-vectored assault mode have been reassigned to monitoring every aspect of the ship. And compensating for anything that might occur when the ship enter a slipstream conduit. The Prometheus MK Class has the most developed and easily the greatest computing capacity of any 'ship' class in Starfleet. Many of the weapons systems aboard the Attrin Star are newly developed and still being refitted onto most Starfleet ships. Its most powerful weapon system is the “Heavy Point Mono-Directional Boring Phaser Cannon”. Which was added under the main hull replacing the deflector (Which was relocated to the lower aft of the ship) and the 3rd warp core. It is capable of firing at a rate of 80 beams per minute but at that rate causes a considerable power drain. The weapon itself can put a beam directly through the hull of a Valdore Class war bird with a single shot. Its main phaser arcs are located on ether side of the main hull with all the other phaser banks in smaller arcs covering most of the points of the ship. Its torpedo tubes allow forward and aft coverage. Its pulse phaser banks are located near the front of the ship and fire at 240 shots per minute and make up the bulk of the saucer sections forward attack power along with the rapid fire torpedo tubes. Its shields allow it to quickly adapt its shields to make it more resilient in combat. Its secondary paratrinic shields are still experimental but highly advanced. Allowing the ship to withstand an incredible amount of punishment if the main shields go down. Its ablative armour covers the main hull. While A double hull and reinforced secondary hull (the hull covering the engineering section) made of polarized monotanium act as a final defense if all else fails. The added protection of Ablative Hull Armour projected from generators located on the nacelles protect the ability to warp during heavy combat (When all else fails, make sure you can run). There is also a secondary bridge in the engineering section. Allowing the engineering section to be easily controlled in combat. Though the multi vectored assault mode was removed the Prometheus MK class is fully capable of attacking after the command and engineering sections are disconnected acting as completely separate ships.
